BACKGROUND: The period from childhood to young adulthood involves heightened susceptibility to mental health problems, requiring specific health policies. We present the prevalence and burden associated with mental disorders, substance use disorders (SUDs), and self-harm in Brazilian children, adolescents, and young adults.
