Methylphenidate (MPH) is the first-choice pharmacological treatment for treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) across the lifespan. However, it is unclear whether MPH affects cognitive development, while recent (pre-) clinical studies suggest effects on the developing brain.
