CONCLUSION: Comorbid ASD in children and adolescents with ADHD increases clinical burden and shifts treatment from CNS stimulants to non-stimulants and other psychotropics. Despite lower use, CNS stimulants are associated with improved outcomes, underscoring the need for prospective studies examining the risk-to-benefit ratio in this population.
