CONCLUSION: Despite elevated prenatal THg exposure, no association was found with children’s behavioural functioning assessed from early childhood to pre-adolescence. The nutrients in fish could offset the potential neurotoxic impact of Hg. Further birth cohort studies with longitudinal data are warranted.
